2024 Spring Virtual Cancer Retreat

In April, New Mexico’s adult cancer patients/survivors and their loved ones participated (on-line) in our nationally recognized Family Cancer Retreat. The retreat focused on educating participants and helping them to navigate their way through the process of surviving: handling the difficulties of the initial diagnosis, coping with therapy, dealing with a variety of medical and social challenges relating to at-home care, and the emotional and physical issues associated with surviving.

During the program, patients/survivors and their caregivers attended webinars led by a variety of the state’s leading cancer specialists. Sessions were recorded and can be viewed by clicking on the link below to our YouTube channel.

Sessions include:

  • Cancer 101
  • Cancer Nutrition
  • Yoga for Happiness & Healing
  • Coping with Treatment-Related Side Effects
  • “Ask the Oncologist” Panels

  • Patient and Family Communication in Serious Illness
