As a volunteer-driven organization, our programs depend on the generosity, time, and dedication of people who want to support families navigating cancer. What began with just a handful of volunteers in 2001 has grown into a community of hundreds of individuals across New Mexico who make this work possible each year.

Ways to Get Involved
Family Cancer Retreat
- Assisting with pre-retreat preparation, including assembling materials and packets
- Supporting on-site activities during the retreat
Legal, Insurance & Paperwork Assistance (LIPA)
- Helping answer questions related to cancer-related legal, insurance, financial, or paperwork concerns
Promotion & Fundraising
- Sharing information about CSNM programs in your community
- Staffing tables at health fairs and events
- Assisting with fundraising events like Driving Out Cancer
- Supporting grant writing efforts
Administrative Support
- Assisting with mailings
- Organization help
- Helping compile and organize client feedback
Who Volunteers with CSNM
Our volunteers come from many different backgrounds, including:

Many have personal experience with cancer and want to support others facing similar challenges.
